Bart Kahn, a dresser and stage manager who worked on Broadway, died April 19 2012. He was 46.
Bart Evan Kahn was born Feb. 6, 1966, in New York City, and was educated at SUNY Fredonia. As a dresser, he worked on the Broadway productions of Miss Saigon and The Will Rogers Follies.
He graduated to stage management with the 1997 Broadway revival of The Diary of Anne Frank. He subsequently worked as stage manager of a national tour of Rent. Further Broadway assignments included The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street and Avenue Q.
Also heavily involved with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Mr. Kahn acted as stage manager on several iterations of the annual "Gypsy of the Year" and "Easter Bonnet" events.
At the time of his death, he was a theatrical representative for Frontier Booking, and had clients in such shows as Ghost, Rent, The Book of Mormon, Don't Dress for Dinner and Mamma Mia!
