Darlene Wilson, who was an associate choreographer and dance captain on many Broadway musicals, most recently Spamalot, died on March 2, 2007, reported the Times Herald-Record. She was 45. Ms. Wilson was assistant choreographer to Robert Longbottom on 1997's Side Show and to Adam Pelt on The Scarlet Pimpernel. She was associate choreographer to Longbottom on the 2002 revival of Flower Drum Song. On Spamalot, she was associate choreographer to Casey Nicholaw and was also standby for the role of The Lady of the Lake.

Darlene Wilson came to New York to pursue a performing career shortly after graduating from Wallkill High School in Wallkill, NY. She first preformed on Broadway as Cassandra in Cats. Later on, she understudied a variety of roles on another Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Sunset Boulevard. She acted in national tours of A Chorus Line, Cats, 42nd Street and This Was Burlesque. She was also in the Encores! presentation of No Strings at City Center.

She is survived by her husband, Matt Zytko; her mother and step-father Julie and James Williamson; her sister, Michele Martucci; her brother, Scott Wilson; her step-sister, Diane Halstead; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call March 5 from 5-9 PM at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM, March 6, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Newburgh. Cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Donations may be made in her name to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
