Vanguard Theater Company is seeking a Wardrobe Supervisor and a Wardrobe Intern for our upcoming production of Tuck Everlasting

Dates are as follows.

Tech 11/24 - 12/5

Shows: 12/6 -12/21 off Monday and Tuesdays

Pay is a flat rate of:

$2500 for supervisor

$1500 for intern

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participate in pre-production, production, and advance calls, as needed

Assist the Costume Designer in sourcing, pulling, buying, and renting of costumes

Assist in building and altering of costume pieces

Assist in styling/maintaining the wigs
Participate in and direct/supervise local wardrobe crew during load-in, performances, and load-out
Manage and assist in quick changes during performances
Manage show laundry schedule and puppet maintenance
Execute and advise on solutions for repairs to wigs and costumes
Maintain a log of all maintenance and troubleshooting done on wigs and costumes, to be shared and discussed during production meetings
Participate in weekly Production meetings and general tour check-ins
Lend assistance to other departments when available


Preferred Skills + Qualifications:
Proficient stitcher and experience working with a high volume of costumes at one time
Familiarity with working on a variety of machines.
Experience working with and maintaining wigs

Experience putting on wigs in quick changes
Prior experience working with and supervising a crew under.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with astute attention to detail
Positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license
Higher consideration will be given to candidates with related touring experience of 2 years or more.
Higher consideration will be given to candidates with a background in theatre.
