This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Full Stack Senior Software Engineer who not only excels in software development but also has a passion for theater. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the digital landscape of Broadway’s official loyalty program, creating innovative web solutions that enhance the experience for millions of theater enthusiasts.

As our first and only in-house engineer, you'll own the development of full-stack applications, design and maintain reliable APIs, and collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and achieve our goals. Our focus is on constant growth for our members, which means we are committed to continuously adapting and developing processes that meet our partners where they are. This approach ensures that we can deliver the best possible solutions, using the most suitable technologies, tools, and frameworks for each unique situation. This role requires the ability to commute to our NYC office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and as needed for business requirements.

Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the development of full-stack applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and security.

· Design, build, and maintain APIs that are reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain.

· Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

· Lead technical projects, including solution discovery, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.

· Work with frontend technologies (e.g., React, Next.js) and backend stacks (e.g., Node.js, Express) to develop responsive and adaptive web applications.

· Integrate applications with relational databases and external 3rd-party services.

· Debug and resolve production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.

· Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes within the team.

· Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to the highest possible standard.

· Document new processes and workflows as they are created, using Confluence to ensure that all team members have access to up-to-date, well-organized information that supports ongoing projects and initiatives.

· Available as needed to respond to and resolve critical incidents or emergencies during and outside of regular business hours to ensure the continuity and stability of web services.

Requirements

· 5+ years of experience with web technologies and software engineering principles.

· Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, including ES6+ features.

· Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and backend stacks (e.g., Node.js, Express).

· Proficiency in state management libraries (e.g., Redux, React Query) and modern CSS frameworks.

· Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

· Familiarity with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong desire to mentor and develop junior engineers.

· Passion for staying up to date on emerging trends and technologies in web development.

· Familiarity with project management and communications tool including: Atlassian tools, Slack, and Google Workspace.

SALARY

$120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
