Seeking a non-union, male-identifying actor to portray Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria-Hungary for the New York Theatre Festival run of "United in Love, Until Death".

Synopsis: Two lovers, vowing they never will part, open their eyes to eternity together. With nothing but time, there are still questions to be answered and truths to be unearthed. Based on the real-life Mayerling Incident, this play explores the consequences of manipulated love at its most deadly.

Character Description:

Rudolf: 30 years old, male-presenting, any ethnicity. Crown-Prince of Austria-Hungary. Once handsome, fallen into depression, neuroses and substance abuse. Charming, magnetic, and passionate despite it all. He once had grand plans, but in death he seeks peace and freedom he could never attain in life.

Content warning: this play deals with topics such as murder, suicide, substance abuse, mental health, manipulation, sex, guns.

There will be an intimacy coordinator for this production.

Rehearsals slated to start with table read in December and full rehearsals in January. Rehearsals to be scheduled based on actor's availability.

Dates: Mandatory tech rehearsal at Hudson Guild Theater on January 17th from 11am-3pm. Performances: January 22 @ 9:00 PM - Wednesday, January 24 @ 9:00 PM - Friday, January 25 @ 6:45 PM - Saturday.
