SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Second City - Chicago 2025 Season (See breakdown).

These are improvised auditions, and we are not seeing actors for traditional scripted plays or roles.

We are seeking improvisational acting talent to cast as understudies for the Chicago Touring Company and other upcoming projects. You must be a graduate of an improv and sketch comedy institution (i.e. The Second City Conservatory, iO, UCB, The Pit, The Magnet, The Annoyance Theater, etc.) to be considered for an audition slot. Improv and sketch comedy experience is a plus.


SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Please submit your headshot and resume for consideration. Subject line should read: AEA SC General Auditions 2025. You must be a graduate of a recognized improv and sketch comedy institution. Any submissions sent after the time designated above will not be considered.

Auditions will be lead by a Second City Director.


OTHER DATES

Auditions will be scheduled on May 19, 20 and
21st which are group improvised auditions.
Group auditions last 30 minutes and we have
11 slots per day. Starting at 9:45 AM and ending at 5pm.
Callbacks on May 23. Sides will be provided for callbacks.
We are casting for various projects throughout the year.
If you have conflicts with the May audition dates, there will be another round of auditions
in 2026. Audition dates for 2026 have yet to be determined.

If offered the role of understudy, you must reside in Chicago, IL. We do not pay a
relocation fee for these projects.
