Job Summary
Studio RRD is seeking an Equipment Coordinator to join our team of event lighting professionals. Successful candidates will be eager to be involved in the success of shop floor operations in collaboration with warehouse staff. Additionally, the ideal candidate would possess a strong willingness to learn, a meticulous eye for detail, and excellent communication and time management skills. Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Coordinator is an instrumental member of our warehouse team and works to ensure the quality and successful distribution of our equipment.

Expected Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a similar role, warehouse, and/or delivery position.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and networking and/or theatrical lighting, rigging, grip, and studio equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and general inventory practices.
  • Computer literacy with an emphasis in G-Suite and MicrosoftSuite.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; experience driving cargo vans and box trucks.
  • Physical condition suitable to warehouse operations, ability to lift 50–100 lbs. and work on feet for an 8-hour day or longer as the job requires.
  • Thrives under pressure and able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail, with dedication to excellence and accuracy.
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic team-player with a can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to learn about event lighting equipment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Packing orders for transport and loading/unloading vehicles. Securing equipment in vehicles for transit.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of all lighting equipment and hardware to company standards.
  • Quality Control of equipment for accurate function following pre-defined testing parameters.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop space.
  • Working side by sideas needed with a small crew of freelancers to complete the daily needs of the warehouse.
  • Report stock levels of consumable items, parts, and supplies.
  • Drive van and or box truck to and from job sites as needed. Regular trips into Manhattan.
  • Assist with intake of new inventory. Recording details into inventory system and branding of equipment following company guidelines.
  • Aid in the creation of new organization methodologies and processes around the shop.
