Will Free Tickets to School of Rock and On Your Feet! Spur Younger Broadway Audiences? | Playbill

News Will Free Tickets to School of Rock and On Your Feet! Spur Younger Broadway Audiences? A nonprofit group of Broadway producers and theatre owners will provide free tickets and offstage programming to shows to Gotham teenagers as part of a program that aims to inspire young artists and future theatregoers.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the program, The Situation Project, has "pledged funds to pay for five years' worth of arts programming through commitments from Jujamcyn Theaters and the Nederlander Organization along with other producers, creative, entrepreneurs, community activists and Situation Interactive, an online marketing specialist." Damian Bazadona, the founder and president of Situation Interactive, spearheaded the effort.

The program is targeted to "students in arts-deficient New York City public middle schools that have demonstrated a commitment to academic performance despite limited access to the city's vast cultural resources."

This fall, students will visit On Your Feet!, School of Rock, Finding Neverland and The Phantom of the Opera.
