Critics have begun publishing their reviews of Theatre for a New Audience's Merchant of Venice, currently running at Polonsky Shakespeare Center through March 6.

Considered one of Shakespeare's problem plays, Merchant of Venice follows characters obsessed with the flow of wealth while living in a society divided by hate and mired by inequities. TFANA is co-producing the production with Washington, D.C.'s Shakespeare Theatre Company, and it features John Douglas Thompson as Shylock under the direction of Arin Arbus.
