Thoroughly Modern Millie turned 15 on April 18, 2017, but it took a few months more to organize the one-night-only concert to celebrate that anniversary. On February 12, the original cast of the 2002 Tony-winning Best Musical reunited at the Minskoff Theatre to present a pared-down concert version to benefit the Actors Fund.

Sutton Foster, who earned her first Tony Award for her breakout performance as Millie Dillmount, returned as Millie alongside Gavin Creel as Jimmy Smith (Creel earned a 2002 Tony nomination), Harriet Harris as Mrs. Meers (Harris won the Tony for her performance in Millie), Marc Kudisch (who also earned a 2002 Tony nomination) as Trevor Graydon, and more.

Watch highlights from the performance in the video above, including Foster singing “Gimme Gimme,” Creel singing “What Do I Need With Love?,” Harris singing “What They Don’t Know,” the original female ensemblists performing “Forget About the Boy,” Kudisch and Megan McGinnis singing “I’m Falling in Love With Someone,” Sheryl Lee Ralph belting “Long As I’m Here With You,” and the full cast topping the night off with the titular number.

Directed by original choreographer Rob Ashford, librettist Dick Scanlan, and original director Michael Mayer, the event was basically a full production sans sets and costumes.
