The musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel The Notebook completes its run at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre December 15. The production opened March 14, after beginning previews February 10. As of the final performance, the production will have played 35 previews and 317 performances.

Though the show has attracted a dedicated fanbase (the musical's 11-o-clock number "My Days," as sung by Joy Woods, has become a particular favorite amongst online theatre fans), The Notebook was notably absent from this year's Best Musical Tony Awards nominees, with the show earning just three total nods, for Bekah Brunstetter's book and Dorian Harewood and Maryann Plunkett's leading performances. The production was left empty handed when winners were announced June 16, and the musical struggled at the box office.

Featuring a book by Bekah Brunstetter and a score by Ingrid Michaelson, The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite forces that threaten to pull them apart.

The final cast of The Notebook features Tony winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie, Tony nominee Dorian Harewood as Older Noah, Aisha Jackson as Middle Allie, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, Anna Zavelson as Younger Allie, Benji Santiago as Younger Noah, Andréa Burns as Mother/Nurse Lori, and Carson Stewart as Johnny/Fin with Yassmin Alers, Alex Benoit, Chase Del Rey, Hillary Fisher, Jerome Harmann-Hardeman, Dorcas Leung, Happy McPartlin, Juliette Ojeda, Kim Onah, Charles E. Wallace, and Charlie Webb.

The core creative team members from the Chicago Shakespeare Theater world premiere returned for the Broadway production—with co-direction by Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen, Rent) and Schele Williams (Aida, Motown the Musical) and choreography by Katie Spelman.

The production also has scenic design by David Zinn and Brett J. Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Lucy Mackinnon, and hair and wig design by Mia Neal. The production’s music supervisor is Carmel Dean, who collaborated on arrangements with Michaelson and on orchestrations with John Clancy. Geoffrey Ko is music director. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Patrick Goodwin, which Chicago casting by Bob Mason. Victoria Navarro is production stage manager.
