The West End transfer of The Great British Bake Off Musical, seen at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham last summer, begins its limited 12-week run February 25. The new musical, inspired by the long-running U.K. hit reality competition series The Great British Bake Off, plays the Noël Coward Theatre through May 13.

Rachel Kavanaugh directs a cast led by John Owen Jones (Les Misèrables), Haydn Gwynne (Billy Elliot the Musical), Zoe Birkett (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Scott Paige (The Addams Family)Claire Moore (Mary Poppins), Cat Sandison (Evita), Charlotte Wakefield (The Boy In The Dress), Damian Humbley (Merrily We Roll Along), Jay Saighal (Hedda Gabler), Michael Cahill (Martin Guerre), Grace Mouat (SIX), Aharon Rayner, Louis Gaudencio (Aladdin), Gabriella Stylianou, and Annette Yeo (Love Never Dies), plus Georgie Westall (A Christmas Carol), Stuart Hickey (Come From Away), and Jamil Abbasi as understudies. Aanya Shah, Amelie Rouse, and Maisy Mein share the child role of Lily.

The Great British Bake Off Musical features a book and lyrics by Jake Brunger and music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary. Like the TV show, the musical follows a team of amateur bakers as they seek to impress the judges and battle their way to be crowned Star Baker.

The creative team also includes choreographer Georgina Lamb, set, costume, and cake designer Alice Power, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Ben Harrison, orchestrator Tom Curran, musical supervisor Mark Collins, and casting director Jim Arnold.

Created in association with Richard McKerrow and the producers of the TV show, Love Productions, the new musical comedy is presented by Mark Goucher Productions. The TV program was co-created by Anna Beattie and McKerrow.
