The "Rescue Me" actor will star in the new comedy series "Almost There" for DirecTV, according to Deadline.com. Pasquale, who was last on Broadway in The Bridges of Madison County, will also executive produce the single-camera series. The 10 episodes will premiere this fall on DirecTV’s Audience Network. "Almost There" was created by Jace Alexander, Kim Cella and Debbie Baldwin, who also serve as executive producers.
The cast will also feature Christopher Fitzgerald, Susan Kelechi Watson and Maddie Corman. Recurring guest stars include Trieste Kelly Dunn, James McDaniel, Terry Kinney and Jane Alexander.
Penned by Courtney Baron, Cella and Baldwin, the comedy, according to Deadline, "tells the story of Jackson Cooper (Pasquale), a handsome, eternally single psychiatrist living in New York City. Serial dating and workaholic behavior have successfully helped him avoid long-term commitments, until he meets the girl of his dreams. Unfortunately he fails to get her name, number or any other information. The series follows Jackson on his quest to find her and to finally go about the task of finding himself along the way."
