Theatre fans and world travelers alike can take a once-in-a-lifetime journey this summer aboard SiriusXM Broadway host, Playbill columnist, actor, and musician Seth Rudetsky's Big Fat Broadway Cruise: Alaska Dawes Glacier, traveling alongside multiple stars of the stage.

Created by Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley Jackson, the next "theatre camp at sea" voyage is scheduled for August 1–8. The ship will depart from Seattle, Washington, before visiting Alaska’s Ketchikan, Endicott Arm, Juneau, Skagway, and Inside Passage, and finally docking in Victoria, BC.

While on board, guests can participate in theatre-themed events and attend concerts from Broadway favorites including Tony winner Stephanie J. Block (The Cher Show), Tony nominee Lilli Cooper (Tootsie), and Sebastian Arcelus (Into the Woods).

"We cannot think of a better way to bear witness to the grandeur of Dawes Glacier and explore the beauty of greater Alaska than alongside our dear pals...as well as new and old friends alike, as we all share in an incredibly special communal experience...the likes of which can only be enjoyed on a SBFBCruise," said Block and Arcelus in a joint statement.

“I am beyond excited to share the experience of witnessing this magnificent part of the country, and sing the songs I love, with a ship full of theater lovers!" adds Cooper.

“Attendees love the interactive nature of the cruises," Rudetsky says. In addition to his signature concerts with the various Broadway stars, where actors answer Rudetsky's questions in between performing their favorite tunes, passengers have the rare opportunity to perform with the Broadway artists, participate in a broadcast of Rudetsky's SiriusXM radio program, and take a performance master class.

"At the end of the week, we do a variety show," adds Rudetsky. "So, all the stars perform together, but also the passengers can if they want to. They work all week preparing, and then they join the stars on their signature songs. When the late, great Chita Rivera was on board, we did 'All That Jazz' with the passengers doing the backup… And when Judy Kuhn did the cruise, we did 'One Day More'; she was Cosette, Adam Pascal was Jean Valjean, and the passengers were everyone else. The passengers get to join the stars as they literally recreate their big numbers while performing with them!”

In between performances, guests can explore 29 distinct restaurants, bars, and lounges within the ship and on-board amenities including a state-of-the-art spa, casino, and a shopping district curated with upscale brands and products. The ship's Resort Deck also offers sweeping views, an on-board Solarium, a rooftop garden, swimming pools, and more.

Included in the cruise package are accommodations, all meals including group dinner, Broadway star concerts, autograph sessions, specialty events, daily activities, a beverage package, Wi-Fi, and gratuities.

Playbill Travel is also on hand to assist passengers with their flights, and help protect a passenger's vacation investment against any medical emergencies before or during the vacation with Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance available for purchase. Pre- and post-cruise plans are also available for those who would like to extend their vacation.
