The Broadway Sings concert series continues August 22 at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan with Broadway Sings The Beatles.
Cast members from Hamilton, Waitress, The Color Purple and Wicked will sing new arrangements of the legendary band’s greatest hits, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations. Show time is 8 PM.
The complete lineup includes Angela Birchett (The Color Purple), Steel Burkhardt (Aladdin), Dawn Cantwell (Wicked), Drew Gehling (Waitress), Brittney Johnson (Beautiful the Musical), Alison Luff (Les Miserables), Corey Mach (Godspell), Emily Padgett (Bright Star), Ciara Renée (Pippin), Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon), Jon Rua (Hamilton), Antoine L. Smith (The Color Purple), Carrie St. Louis (Wicked), Alysha Umphress (On the Town), Zurin Villanueva (Shuffle Along) and Michael Wartella (Tuck Everlasting).
Attendees can expect to hear such tunes as “Let it Be,” “Yesterday,” “Hey Jude,” “Blackbird” and “Come Together.” The music is orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.
Broadway Sings The Beatles is produced and directed by Corey Mach (Invisible Thread, Wicked).
