Who said they didn't have "connections"? While their former castmate Edie Falco plays on Broadway in Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune and Jamie-Lyn Sigler readies for Beauty and the Beast, three other actors from HBO's "The Sopranos" come to the New York stage in Golden Boy, Sept. 25-Oct. 12.

Vincent Pastore (who portrayed the "offed" Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero), Maureen Van Zandt (who plays mobwife Gabriella Dante opposite her real-life husband Steve Van Zandt as Silvio) and Robert Funaro (Eugene Pontecorvo) will star in the With Out Papers production of the Clifford Odets' play about a young boxer and his struggle.

Richard Boccato, John Koprowski and Van Zandt head With Out Papers. Golden Boy marks the company's third production, following Sam Shepard's Simpatico and Tennessee Williams' Kingdom of Earth.

The cast also includes Boccato, Koprowski, as well as Richard Bright, who has been seen in films as "The Godfather" (Parts 1, 2 & 3), "Marathon Man," "Once Upon A Time in America" and "Brighton Beach Memoirs."

Golden Boy opened on Broadway in 1937 at the Belasco Theatre, presented by the Group Theatre. Harold Clurman staged the work starring Luther Adler, Lee J. Cobb and Elia Kazan. The play was later musicalized under the direction of Odets — in 1952 — with the help of composer Charles Strouse and lyricist Lee Adams. Other Odets works include Awake and Sing!, Waiting For Lefty, Paradise Lost and the screenplay "Sweet Smell of Success" — which was used as source material for the recent musical version.
