Presented by MCC Theater in collaboration with Ma-Yi Theater Company, Soho Rep's Wolf Play has been extended at MCC Theater for a second and final time through April 2. The two-week extension follows a previous announcement that performances would play through March 19. Previews began January 27 for Hansol Jung's play, which opened February 14. Read the reviews here.

Dustin Wills directs the work, having previously directed it at Soho Rep. The play follows a Jeenu, a six-year-old South Korean boy represented onstage as a puppet. He's being "re-homed" with two new, queer parents in a work that sounds like it's "out to completely devastate you."

The company of Wolf Play includes Christopher Bannow (Oklahoma!) as Peter, Esco Jouléy (Interstate) as Ash, Brian Quijada (Oedipus El Rey) as Ryan, Nicole Villamil (Network) as Robin, and Mitchell Winter (Frontieres Sans Frontieres) as Wolf.

The production reunites the original Soho Rep production's design team, featuring scenic design by You-Shin Chen (The Revival: It Is Our Duty), costume design by Enver Chakartash (Which Way to the Stage), lighting design by Barbara Samuels (In the Green), sound design by Kate Marvin (Heartland), puppet design by Amanda Villalobos (Space Dogs), and properties by Patricia Marjorie (Montag). Hannah “Rock” Roccisano (Montag) is the Fight Director and Kasson Marroquin (The Light) is the Production Stage Manager, and original casting is by Stephanie Yankwitt.

MCC Theater and Ma-Yi Theater Company will also co-host a discussion about transracial and transnational adoptions following the March 18 performance. Transracial, transnational Korean adoptee Meggin (Nam) Holtz and President of the National Center on Adoption and Permanency Adam Pertman will facilitate the talk and Q&A.
