It seems everybody is getting down! SIX the Musical has solidified its position as one of the most popular musicals of the 21st century, with the show's Tony-winning score crossing the 1 billion streams threshold.
Between the production's Grammy nominated Broadway album SIX: Live on Opening Night and its U.K. studio cast recording, the score is now one of the most streamed of all time, thanks in part to the break-out viral hit, "Don't Lose Your Head."
The U.K. album, recorded in 2018, features Renée Lamb, Christina Modestou, Natalie Paris, Genesis Lynea, Aimie Atkinson, and Izuka Hoyle. The recording features orchestrations by Tom Curran and is produced by Sam Featherstone, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss, and Joe Beighton, with executive producers George Stiles and Paul Lisberg.
The Broadway recording, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard cast album charts, features Adrianna Hicks, Andrea Macasaet, Abby Mueller, Brittney Mack, Samantha Pauly, and Anna Uzele, plus a bonus track by the original Broadway alternates Keirsten Nicole Hodgens, Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert, Courtney Mack, and Mallory Maedke. The live record was produced by Paul Gatehouse, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss, Sam Featherstone, and Tom Curran.
SIX celebrated its official Broadway opening night Sunday, October 3, 2021. The production continues at the Lena Horne Theatre.
