The Cher jukebox bio musical will play the Maine theatre with Bob Mackie's Tony-winning Broadway costume design.

Maine's Ogunquit Playhouse has revealed full casting for its upcoming production of The Cher Show, set to play the theatre May 12-June 25 in a production directed by Gerry McIntyre and featuring Bob Mackie's Tony Award-winning Broadway costume design.

Sara Gettelfinger (A Free Man of ColorDirty Rotten Scoundrels) will lead the cast as Star, with Charissa Hogeland (Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert) as Lady and Madeline Hudelson as Babe, completing the show's trio of Chers.

The cast will also feature David Engel (La Cage aux Folles) as Bob Mackie/Frank/Robert Altman, Matthew Hydzik reprising his Broadway performance as Gregg Allman/John Southall, Dino Nicandros as Sonny Bono, Angie Schworer (The Prom) as Georgia Holt/Lucille Ball, and Zachary Zaromatidis as Rob Camilletti. Rounding out the company in the ensemble will be Sara Andreas, Lauren Celentano, Anthony Dasilva, Veronica Fianoni, Anna Hiran, Alyssa Ishihara, Nathan Keen, Ian Liberto, Ernesto Olivas, Merrill Peiffer, Dash Perry, Leah Read, BB Stone, Louis A. Williams Jr., and John Zamborsky.

A jukebox biomusical tracking the life and career of icon Cher, the work features a book by Rick Elice. Ogunquit's production will feature choreography by Jane Lanier, music direction by Kristin Stowell, scenic design by Andy Walmsley, projection design by John Narun, and sound design by Kevin Heard. Rebecca McBee will serve as production stage manager, with Brian Robillard as assistant stage manager. The production is cast by Chad Eric Murnane of Binder Casting.

Ogunquit's upcoming season will also include Marvin Hamlisch and Rupert HolmesThe Nutty Professor, the world premiere stage musical adaptation of Mr. Holland's Opus, and Clue.
