The Impossible Man, a new musical based on the life of illusionist Harry Houdini, will stage two previews at Como, Italy's Sociale Theatre in spring 2025. An official world premiere will be announced at a later date.
Ryan Silverman (Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera) will star as Houdini. Additional casting is to be announced.
The Impossible Man is written and directed by Federico Bellone (The Phantom of the Opera), with music by Giovanni Maria Lori. The production will include over 20 stage illusions by Paolo Carta (Mary Poppins, Ghost), with choreography by Gillian Bruce (The Phantom of the Opera).
Based on the true story of Houdini, The Impossible Man jumps between the date of the illusionist's last performance in 1926 and various episodes from his past.
