News Robert Sean Leonard Will Reprise Role in To Kill a Mockingbird at Barbican Theatre Timothy Sheader's production of To Kill a Mockingbird, which debuted at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park in 2013 (and is currently enjoying a reprise run there, which begins performances Aug. 28 for a season through Sept. 13 prior to a national tour), is to have a third London run at the Barbican Theatre in summer 2015.

Robert Sean Leonard, who played the role of Atticus Finch in the production's 2013 run, will return to the production for the Barbican season only.

The production will begin performances at the Barbican June 24, 2015, prior to an official opening July 2, for a run through July 25.

Leonard has previously appeared in the West End in a 1991 production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Best known for playing Dr. James Wilson in eight seasons of TV's "House" and for playing Neil Perry in the 1989 film "Dead Poets Society," he has also appeared regularly on the New York stage, most recently in the 2011 revival of Born Yesterday. He won the 2001 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Tom Stoppard's The Invention of Love, and was nominated in the same category in 1993 (for Candida) and 2003 (for Long Day's Journey into Night). Other Broadway appearances include Brighton Beach Memoirs, Breaking the Code, The Speed of Darkness, Philadelphia Here I Come!, Arcadia, The Iceman Cometh, The Music Man and The Violet Hour.

To Kill a Mockingbird is produced by Regent's Park Theatre Ltd, Fiery Angel, Adam Spiegel and William Village.

Based on the novel by Harper Lee, it is adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel. It is directed by Timothy Sheader, with designs by Jon Bausor, composition by Phil King, lighting by Oliver Fenwick, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph, original movement by Naomi Said and movement direction by Polly Bennett.
