Critics are weighing in on the world premiere of Modern Swimwear by Caitlin Saylor Stephens (When We Went Electronic). Presented by The Tank, the Off-Broadway run began January 19 and opened January 20 for a run through February 12.
Modern Swimwear tells the story of the life and murder of swimwear designer Sylvie Cachay, who was found dead in an overflowing bathtub at a New York City members-only club in 2010. As Cachay prepares for an important pitch, conflict arises between her and her troubled boyfriend Nick as he tries to become the center of her attention.
