London's Royal Court continues its production of Mark Ravenhill’s drama The Cane, which began performances December 6, 2018, and will wrap up January 26. The new play is directed by the theatre's artistic director, Vicky Featherstone.

In The Cane, longtime, dedicated schoolteacher Edward's home is under siege. A mob of angry students have gathered, a brick has been thrown through the window, he and his wife haven’t left the house for six days, and now his estranged daughter has arrived with her own questions.

Alun Armstrong plays Edward, Maggie Steed plays Maureen, and Nicola Walker plays Anna.
