Playbill Travel has announced a new luxury river cruise offering: Broadway in Burgundy and Provence, set for May 7–14, 2026. The once-in-a-lifetime experience invites guests to travel to numerous cities in France aboard AmaWaterways' AmaCello, with a star-studded roster of Broadway performers.

After flying into France, guests will board the AmaCello in Arles before heading thru Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise wine region.

Travelers will begin their journey by visiting Arles, Known for its Roman ruins and Van Gogh's legacy, guests may explore Arles Papal Palace and medieval walls on a guided walking tour, taste regional specialties or visit a Châteauneuf-du-Pape winery.

Avignon is the next stop. Known as the "City of Popes," this location was the center of the Catholic Church in the 14th century.

Relaxation is also part of the itinerary—guests can unwind on their balcony or the Sun Deck while cruising to Viviers. Upon arrival, adventure through the charming medieval city by bike, or visit the hilltop village of Grignan. Later, stroll through the city with a guide in Renaissance attire as costumed "residents" reenact historical events and legends.

Vienne, while located in Southeastern France, is very much a Roman city. Step back in time and enjoy the marvelously preserved ruins.

The following day, guests will explore Lyon, beginning with its UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fourvière Hill, and historic basilica. Guests can then continue to the old town and discover its unique traboules, with the option to choose from a guided walk, bike tour, or food tour, or even hike to the Monastery at Mount Pipet.

Next, travelers will explore Mâcon, known for its vineyards, museums, and historical sites; or Cluny's impressive Romanesque abbey. Lunch will then be served on the Sun Deck as AmaCello sails to Trevoux.
