Pasadena Playhouse's The Father, starring Alfred Molina, led this year's Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, winning nine categories, including the Production Award, an honor it shares with Echo Theater Company's Poor Clare. Molina also took Lead Performance along with Poor Clare star Jordan Hull.
Dolby Theatre's My Fair Lady won the McCulloh Award for Revival, with music director John Bell, choreographer Christopher Gatelli, and costume designer Catherine Zuber also winning in their respective categories for their work on the production, a stop on the national tour of Lincoln Center's 2018 Tony-nominated Broadway revival.
The awards were announced August 3, honoring productions that played in 2020 and 2021. The organization again dispensed with an in-person ceremony and will instead send plaques to honorees.
