The Tony-winning actress will star opposite Billy Bob Thornton in the legal drama from David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro.
The series focuses on the character of Billy McBride, played by Thornton: “Once a big and powerful lawyer, Billy has become a shell of his former self after losing a case that saw an innocent kid murdered,” according to the industry website. “His guilt-driven alcoholism cost him his wife and his job as his longtime partner Cooper turned on him and kicked him out of their law firm. Still hanging onto his dry charisma, Billy is now going head-to-head against Cooper, bringing a case against his former partner, which begins to stir in him his old ambition.”
Arianda has been cast as Solis-Papagian, who is described as “a fast-talking, go-getter attorney.” The series will also feature William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Maria Bello and Sarah Wynter.
Arianda won her Tony for her performance in Venus in Fur.
