Director George C. Wolfe has populated his summer revival of On The Town with New Faces of 1997. Jose Llana, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Robert Montano will be the three sailors on shore leave in manhattan, and the women they meet will be played by Sophia Salguero, Kate Suber and standup comic Lea DeLaria.

The supporting cast includes some with Broadway credits: Jonathan Freeman of She Loves Me, Annie Golden of Baby and Mary Testa of A Funny Thing...

Other newcomers who'll be On The Town are Rachel Alvarado, Carol Bentley, Andy Blankenbuehler, Nora Cole, Nickemil Concepcion, Karl DuHoffman, Byron Easley, Luis Ottavio Faria, Ivy Fox, Darren Gibson, Blake Hammond, Clay Jack, Keri Lee, Joanne McHugh, Linda Mugleston, Glenn Turner, Patricia Tuthill, Jassen Virolas, Chandra Wilson and Margaux Zadikian.

Eliot Feld will choreograph the musical, which is the first at The Delacorte Theatre in Central Park since 1985's Tony-winner The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Betty Comden and Adolph Green did the book as well as the lyrics to Leonard Bernstein's music. The 1944 musical racked up 463 performances in its original run on Broadway. Its big song hits include "New York, New York," "Lonely Town," "I Can Cook Too," "Lucky To Be Me," "Some Other Time" and "Ya Got Me." The second offering in the 42nd season in Central Park, On The Town will play Tuesday through Sundays at 8 PM at The Delacorte, beginning July 31 and continuing through August 31. Tickets are free.
