Some of the characters that audiences can expect to encounter as they roam the space freely include "The Bathtub Guru," "The Cook," "The Spirit in the Attic" and "Stranger Cat," each representing a different facet of the human psyche.

Houseworld is created by playwright and musician Andrew Hoepfner in collaboration with Mike Campbell. The show officially opens Oct. 18 and is scheduled to continue through Nov. 21.

"The surreal inhabitants of the house deliver a heightened sense of intimacy, which is often experienced one-on-one," state notes on the show's site, HouseWorldNYC. "Through exploring Houseworld, the audience is guided into the deepest parts of themselves."

Set in Brooklyn's San Damiano Mission, the show features an eclectic group of 20 performers, including G-train subway platform performer Joe Crow Ryan (the subject of VICE documentary "Life of a New York Subway Performer"); indie rock/pop artist Jason Trachtenberg; and composer/musician Jesse Paris Smith, daughter of Patti Smith.

Houseworld also features Angela Carlucci, Salvatore Musumeci, Jenny Reed, Ben Pagano, Dennie Hausen, Rick Patrick, Uriel Shlush-Reyna, Sherry Katapodes, Beth Pagano, Mike Campbell, Jesse Paris Smith, Jason Trachtenburg, Larkin Grimm and Joe Crow Ryan.
