Additional performers have been announced for Classic Stage Company's 2023 Gala, which will be held November 13 at 6 PM at Capitale.
Directed by Tony winner Susan Stroman, the evening, as previously reported, will honor theatrical agent Sarah L. Douglas of SLD Associates and John Weidman (CSC’s I Can Get It for You Wholesale).
Joining the lineup of performers and presenters are Jason Danieley (Knoxville), Michael Korie (Flying Over Sunset), Tony nominee Julia Lester (Into the Woods, I Can Get It for You Wholesale), Kara Lindsay (Newsies), Daniel May (Chess), Joey Mazzarino (Sesame Street), Eric Santagata (Prince of Broadway), Vanessa Sears (New York, New York), and Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (Flying Over Sunset, On the Town).
The evening will also feature appearances from the previously announced Fred Applegate (Happiness), Tony winner Santino Fontana (Tootsie, I Can Get It for You Wholesale), four-time Tony winner Boyd Gaines (Contact), Victor Garber (Assassins), Judy Kuhn (Chess, I Can Get It for You Wholesale), three-time Tony winner Nathan Lane (The Producers), Tony winner Debra Monk (Assassins, Steel Pier), Tony winner Brandon Uranowitz (Leopoldstadt), A.J. Shively (A Man of No Importance), and Tony winner BD Wong (Pacific Overtures, M. Butterfly).
Paul Masse (Wicked) will serve as pianist and music director with Laura Bontrager (Merrily We Roll Along) on cello and Perry Cavari (A Bronx Tale) on drums.
The 2023 Gala Co-Chairs are Lynn F. Angelson, Matt Benjamin, Ilyssa Coghlan, and Matthew Grossman. The Honorary Chairs are LaChanze and Jeanine Tesori.
