It's 2003 in New York City and bullied kid Troy Billings is standing on the yellow line on a subway platform at the end of his rope. Just as he's about to throw himself in front of the F train, semi-homeless and manipulative punk rock guitarist Curt MacCrae stops him. The duo begin an unlikely kinship by forming a punk rock band, though Troy has just a few problems: His father has yet to figure out how to parent his boys after the death of his wife, his younger brother Dayle is an unrelenting bully, and Troy eats his feelings. Battling his own addiction and an abusive family life, Curt is desperate to keep his band together and won't let Troy's minor little setbacks stop him.

The new musical features orchestrations, arrangements, and music supervision by Ethan Popp (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) and Zachary Dietz (School of Rock), choreography by Camille A. Brown (Once On This Island), costume design by Gregory Gale (Rock of Ages), lighting design by Aaron Porter (Waitress), sound design by Sam Kusnetz (Bikeman), casting by Robin Carus, and musical direction by James Ross Dobinson (The View UpStairs). Molly Shea and Abigail Strange are the stage managers.
