News McCollum Honored at USC's Tommy Awards in Manhattan June 29 University of Southern California's first annual Tommy Awards, honoring Tony-winning producer Kevin McCollum, are presented at New World Stages June 29.

A host of USC alumni will gather to honor McCollum (In the Heights, Avenue Q, [title of show]) as well as filmmaker Andy Tennant, Sheryl Staples of the New York Philharmonic, Steve Smith of the New York Giants and John Blair of Credit Suisse.

James Snyder (Cry-Baby) hosts the event, which features performances by Bryce Ryness (Hair), Kyle Barisich (Phantom of the Opera), Katie Coleman, Danielle Faitelson and Meredith Anderson.

The Tommy Awards will also feature music from Tony nominee Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde, Bat Boy), Kirsten Guenther (Mrs. Sharp), Ryan Scott Oliver (Mrs. Sharp), Jeffy Thomson and Jordan Mann (Pump Up the Volume) and Rebekah Melocik (Group Therapy).

The 7:30 PM evening is directed and produced by Michael Schwartz, and executive produced by Kate Russo.
