Midnight Coleslaw's Tales from Beyond the Closet!!! invites audiences to join "drag-vamp" Midnight Coleslaw for a campy evening of queer horror-comedy.

“Camp is part of my identity as a queer person,” Merlo said in a statement. “To me, camp is a kind of secret language that we as queer folks have. Horror keeps me present. It gives me the chance to experience my body in a heightened and excited state. My work explores the cracks between the boundaries of what’s ‘real’ and what isn’t—by fusing the two, I attempt to locate my own existence within the realm of the fantastic. I hope audiences will walk away feeling refreshed and exhilarated after having been taken on a bizarre, funny, and scary journey through three unique stories, while also having been entertained by the musical drag and comedy numbers in between each one-act.”

The creative team includes scenic designer Joyce Lai, costume designer Brittani Beresford, lighting designer Matt Deinhart, sound designer Caroline Eng, projection designer Euxuan Ong, puppet designer Michela Micalizio, line producer George Strus, and production stage manager Monica Athenas.
