With so many openings before the Tony Awards cut off date, we've been seeing a lot of actors and actresses expressing themselves through style. At the Doctor Zhivago opening, many well-known artists said something with their look for the night. So instead of best-dressed, here are my favorites for the night.

Judith Light is known for her grace and elegance on stage and off, which often shows in her fashion. Last night, the Tony winner was a vision in off-white vintage Lanvin, invoking the spirit of the show in her beautiful look.
For decades, Judy Collins has captivated us with her crystal clear voice. It makes sense that one of the great American folk singers would choose a comfortable, airy ensemble for this event. She was luminescent in her magenta and purple dress, scarf, and jacket. With her hair upswept, it appeared as if she floated all evening.
Leave it to a legendary artist like Ben Vereen to never limit his self-expression, especially on a red carpet. Mr. Vereen wanted to demonstrate his spirituality last night and every eye was drawn to him. He's such a gracious, kind man with a calm confidence that was ever present in his choice for this opening night.
The character of Tonia is a strong but devoted woman so Lora Lee Gayer wanted to push her own style boundaries a bit last night. Wearing a stunning bright blue Randi Rahm dress, she showed us the vibrant young woman that is hidden under those restricting early 20th century costumes. And as an homage to Tonia's aristocratic nature, Lora Lee wore some dazzling jewels from Verdura.
Kelli Barrett wanted to express a side of herself which isn't always seen in her tough, vengeful character of Lara. The lovely Badgley Mischka column dress was a different moment on the carpet last night so it definitely stood out. I also like the accessories and her swept up hair.
Tam Mutu wanted to pay tribute to his British roots by wearing a bold and classy three-piece Ted Baker suit. It fit him so perfectly and the blue happened to pair well with his gorgeous costars.
Paul Alexander Nolan's character is a man with many facets. He wanted to share that in his opening night attire, so he chose a monochromatic, dark grey Calvin Klein suit with matching tie. All the same color and yet different shades when in and out of the light…just like the revolutionary Pasha.
Nothing seems to shake Viktor Komarovsky. He's in complete control…most of the time. Tom Hewitt exudes his character's powerful magnetism in this stylish three-piece Hickey Freeman. Mr. Hewitt looks unstoppable and oh so dashing.
