Readings and Workshops Grace McLean, Courtnee Carter, Kyle Selig, More to Lead Alice in Neverland Developmental Reading

The new musical, by Phil Kenny and Reston Williams, is both a sequel to Alice in Wonderland and a prequel to Peter Pan.

A new musical Alice in Neverland, a sequel to Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland and a prequel to J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, has announced a September 28 developmental reading. The work features a book, music and lyrics by Phil Kenny and Reston Williams, and the reading will be directed by Catie Davis (BeetlejuiceMoulin Rouge!).

The cast will be led by Allie Seibold, Heath Saunders (Company), Kyle Selig (Mean Girls), Grace McLean (Bad Cinderella), Courtnee Carter (Parade), and Rob Colletti (Almost Famous), with Travis Artz, Bobby Daye (Moulin Rouge!), LaVon Fisher-Wilson (Chicago), Mia Gerachis, Stephanie Gibson (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Donnie Hammond, Benjamin Henderson, Eddie Korbich (The Music Man), Garth Kravits (Gettin’ the Band Back Together), Elliott Mattox (Beetlejuice), Tiffany Mann (Be More Chill), Adelina Mitchell, Chase Petersen, Honor Blue Savage, and Emmet Smith rounding out the ensemble.

The musical follows Alice, growing older and obsessed with her memories of Wonderland, as she embarks on a daring journey to recapture her youth and discovers the sacrifices that might be required to never grow up.

Kris Kukul (Beetlejuice) is music directing and Joey Monda of Sing Out, Louise! Productions is serving as general manager. The reading is being presented by Tony Award-winning production team 42nd.club (& Juliet, Hadestown, Moulin Rouge). Casting is by The Telsey Office's Rashad Naylor.
