International News Frank Wildhorn Makes West End Debut With Bonnie and Clyde, Opening April 19

Olivier nominee Frances Mayli McCann (Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour, Heathers) and Jordan Luke Gage (& Juliet, Bat Out of Hell) star in the title roles of the West End premiere of Frank Wildhorn's Bonnie and Clyde The Musical, which officially opens April 19 following previews that began April 9 at the Arts Theatre. The production marks the Jekyll & Hyde songwriter's West End debut.

The cast also features Olivier winner George Maguire (Sunny Afternoon) and Natalie McQueen (9 to 5 The Musical) as Buck and Blanche Barrow, respectively, with Cleve September as Ted, Ako Mitchell as Preacher, Pippa Winslow as Cumie Barrow/Governor Miriam Ferguson/Eleanore, Gracie Lai as Emma Parker/Stella, Alistair So as Sheriff Schmid, Alexander Evans as Henry Barrow/Deputy Johnson, Ross Dawes as Captain Frank Hamer, Barney Wilkinson as Bud/Archie, Lauren Jones as Trish, and swings Charlie McCullagh and Annie Guy.

Sharing the role of Young Bonnie are Aiya Agustin, Jersey Blu Georgia Lineo Ncube, and Bea Ward; sharing the role of Young Clyde are Finn Barwell, Louie Gray, George Menezes Cutts, and Isaac Lancel Watkinson.

McCann also played Bonnie in the January Bonnie and Clyde concerts at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Those evenings, featuring Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan reprising his Broadway role as Clyde, were filmed for future release.

The new production is directed by Nick Winston, with set and costume design by Philip Witcomb, arrangements and orchestrations by John McDaniel, musical supervision by Katy Richardson, lighting design by Zoe Spurr, sound design by Tom Marshall, video design by Nina Dunn, casting by Jim Arnold, musical direction by Nick Barstow, assistant musical direction by Debbi Clarke, associate direction and choreography by Megan Louch, wig design by Darren Ware, and fight direction by Kate Waters.

The production manager is Phil McCandlish, the company stage manager is Paul Deavin, and the orchestra fixer is Rich Morris with costume supervision by Jemima Penny and props supervision by Lizzie Frankl for Propworks.

With music by Tony nominee Wildhorn (Wonderland, Jekyll & Hyde, The Civil War, The Scarlet Pimpernel), lyrics by Tony winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), and a book by Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club), Bonnie & Clyde played Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre November 4-December 30, 2011, directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun. Center stage as the title characters were Tony nominees Jordan and Laura Osnes.l
