Feel Good Friday Feel Good Friday: A Teary Lin-Manuel Miranda Watches His Son Sing 'How Far I'll Go'

It's moving when children sing, and it's especially moving when they're singing a song you wrote.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Vanessa Nadal

Times may be hard, but there is still joy to be found, even after a long week. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a moment of emotional release. Welcome to Playbill's Feel Good Friday feature.

Lin-Manuel was all teary-eyed and his wife Vanessa Nadal was crying and then, before we knew it, we were getting emotional, too!

Captioning a video posted on his Instagram, Miranda writes: "When your kid’s winter concert comes right for your tear ducts…Happy holidays everyone."

The Tony-winning composer keeps the camera turned on himself and Vanessa, capturing their own emotions as the children's choir sings "How Far I'll Go," written by Miranda for the Disney film Moana. We gotta admit, it's pretty easy being moved by tiny voices belting the lyrics, "There's just no telling how far I'll go." And if you're the dad that wrote those lyrics? And it's your kid singing them? Yeah. Done. Tears. See the post below.

Have a great weekend, and check back next Friday for another feel good feature.
