And All That Jazz: A Celebration of the Legendary Chita Rivera, a one-night-only benefit concert celebrating Chita Rivera’s 90th birthday to benefit The Entertainment Community Fund, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
Originally set for February 20 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre, a new date will be announced at a later time.
The star-studded event was scheduled to feature Tony winners Laura Benanti, Nathan Lane, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, and Leslie Uggams as well as Jason Danieley, George Dvorsky, Andy Karl, Orfeh, Mary Beth Peil, John Riddle, and Betsy Wolfe, all backed by The American Pops Orchestra (conducted by Luke Frazier) with dance numbers staged by Lloyd Culbreath.
Those who purchased tickets to the event will receive a refund within the next two to four days. For additional questions, email Stephen Joseph at [email protected].
Rivera's career is highlighted by starring roles in Bye Bye Birdie, The Rink (Tony Award), Chicago, Jerry’s Girls, Kiss of the Spider Woman (Tony Award), and the original Broadway casts of Guys and Dolls, Can-Can, Seventh Heaven, and Mr. Wonderful as well as tours of Born Yesterday; The Rose Tattoo; Call Me Madam; The Threepenny Opera; Sweet Charity; Kiss Me, Kate; Zorba; and Can-Can with The Rockettes. The triple threat was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2009. She is also the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor and a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre in 2018.
The celebration, executive produced by Nouveau Productions, will benefit The Dancers’ Resource and Career Transition for Dancers programs of the Entertainment Community Fund.
