The work was revived on Broadway in 2009 in a production starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, and Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch later in the run.
Boyd will lead a creative team that also includes choreographer Robert La Fosse and music director Darren R. Cohen, with additional members to be announced.
The Massachusetts theatre's upcoming season also includes Ain't Misbehavin' June 16–July 9, Anna in the Tropics July 16–30, and the world premiere of Laura Winters' All of Me September 21–October 9. Set for the St. Germain Stage at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center are world premieres of Andy Warhol in Iran, ABCD, and The Supadupa Kid, and a new production of Waiting for Godot.
