News Dual Productions of The Illusionists to Play London and New York The Illusionists – Witness the Impossible, which played a sell-out season at Broadway's Marquis Theatre last November, is to make its West End debut, beginning performances Nov 14, prior to an official opening Nov. 16, at the Shaftesbury Theatre, for a run through Jan. 3.

Described in press materials as "officially the world's best-selling touring magic show," It has previously played in 71 cities across 17 countries. A separate production will play a Broadway return this holiday season.

As previously announced, The Illusionists, which played a hit Broadway run last season at the Marquis Theatre, will return for a limited holiday engagement, beginning Nov. 19 at the Neil Simon Theatre.

For the London run, the company will be joined by Jamie Raven, a finalist on TV's "Britain's Got Talent", as The Magician. The company of seven also includes The Escapologist, Andrew Basso, who is is the only person in the world to perform Houdini's famous Water Torture Cell with absolutely no covers; The Inventor, Kevin James; The Deductionist, Colin Cloud; The Warrior, Ben Blaque, whose display of archery and showmanship culminates in him shooting an apple off his own head, blindfolded.

It is produced by Simon Painter, Tim Lawson, Road Show Entertainment LLC, Stuart Galbraith and MagicSpace Entertainment. It is conceived by Simon Painter and directed by Neil Dorward.
