Delia Ephron's Left on Tenth has been acquired for licensing by Dramatists Play Service, an imprint of Broadway Licensing Global. The work is currently making its Broadway debut at the James Earl Jones Theatre through February 2. DPS is already accepting applications for new productions of the title.
Adapted from Ephron's memoir, the play tracks the You've Got Mail screenwriter as she lives out her very own rom com, reconnecting with a man from her past and finding an unlikely spark.
Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher are starring in the Broadway bow, with Susan Stroman directing. Read what critics had to say about the new play here.
“We are thrilled to welcome Left on Tenth into the Dramatists Play Service catalog,” says BLG Chief Executive Officer Ted Chapin in a statement. “Delia Ephron’s heartfelt and inspiring story has captivated audiences on Broadway, and we are excited to announce that productions can begin right away.”
DPS will also publish an acting edition of Ephron's script, with availability expected this summer. Pre-orders and licensing info are at Dramatists.com.
