News Christina Bianco and Kathy Brier Will Be The Marvelous Wonderettes This Spring Producers Tom and Michael D’Angora have announced an Off-Broadway revival of the long-running hit musical, The Marvelous Wonderettes in spring 2016. Leading the cast of the 1950's-set high school comedy will be Christina Bianco (Application Pending, Forbidden Broadway) and Kathy Brier ("One Life to Live.")

With additional casting yet to be announced, performances will begin March 23, 2016 at The Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row, with an official opening night set for April 28.

The musical features classic 50's and 60's classic hits including "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Son of a Preacher Man," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," and "It’s My Party."

Created, written and originally directed by Roger Bean, the previous New York production played at Off-Broadway's West Side Theatre from September 2008 through January 2010. Here's how the show is billed: "The Marvelous Wonderettes takes a cotton-candied colored musical trip down memory lane to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet “The Wonderettes”, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! We experience their lives and loves from prom night to their 10-year reunion as told through more than 20 chart topping hits of the era!"
