News Casting Complete for London Revival of The Importance of Being Earnest The previously announced new production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest that will star David Suchet as Lady Bracknell has announced its full cast, as well as its West End home and prior tour dates. It will begin performances June 24 prior to an official opening July 1 at the Vaudeville Theatre.

It will also tour first to Nottingham's Theatre Royal, beginning performances May 13, then continue to Cambridge's Arts Theatre, Malvern Theatres, Southampton's Mayflower Theatre, Newcastle's Theatre Royal and Bath's Theatre Royal. Suchet is joined by Emily Barber as Gwendolen, Michael Benz as John (Jack) Worthing, Philip Cumbus as Algernon Moncrieff, Imogen Doel as Cecily Cardew, Michele Dotrice as Miss Prism and Richard O'Callaghan as Reverend Canon Chasuble.

The production is directed by Adrian Noble, with designs by Peter McIntosh, lighting by Howard Harrison, music by Larry Blank and sound by Gareth Owen. It is produced by Kim Poster for Stanhope Productions and Nica Burns.
