International News Cast Set for World Premiere of Glory Ride Musical

Previews will begin at London's Charing Cross Theatre in April.

Casting is now complete for the world premiere of the new musical Glory Ride, playing London's Charing Cross Theatre April 22-July 29. Opening night is April 28.

Directed by Kelly Devine, the cast will feature Josh St. Clair as Gino Bartali, Amy Di Bartolomeo as Adriana Bani, Fed Zanni as Major Mario Carita, Daniel Robinson as Giorgio Nico, Ruairidh McDonald as Felix, Ryan Bennett as Commander Graziani, Peter Watts as Fantali, Jamie Coyne as Cosmo, Loris Scarpa as Lorenzo, Susianna Paisio as Rosetta, Steve Watts as Torello, and Alice Spigariol in the ensemble.

Featuring a book and score by Victoria Buchholz and Todd Buchholz, the musical reveals the secret wartime heroics of Tour de France winner Gino Bartali. With his cycling career as a cover, Bartali cycled thousands of miles between cities across Italy. Hidden in his bike were falsified identity cards and other documents to help victims cross borders to safety: His bravery rescued hundreds of persecuted Jews and other refugees.

The creative team also includes associate director Richard J. Hinds, musical director Dave Rose, set, costume, and video designer PJ McEvoy, lighting designer Rob Halliday, orchestrator Jen Green, casting director Harry Blumenau, and Italian cultural adviser Federico Bellone. General management is by Smart Entertainment.
