Three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch will direct 3-D Theatricals’ upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which will play September 30-October 9 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center in Redondo Beach, CA. The production then moves to 3DT’s newest home, the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in Cerritos, CA, October 14–23.

Kudisch’s wife, Shannon Lewis, will choreograph the production, which will also feature musical direction by Corey Hirsch. Sarah Grandpre will serve as vocal director for the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir.

The cast will be led by Justin Anthony Long (Joseph), Charlotte Mary Wen (Narrator), Bryan Dobson (Jacob/Potiphar) and Edred Utomi (Pharaoh/Levi) with Jason Peter Kennedy (Reuben), Dennis Kyle (Simeon), Brandon Michael Nase (Judah), Nick Morganella (Baker/Dan/Ensemble), Brady Stanley (Butler/Gad/Ensemble), Lauren Decierdo (Mrs. Potiphar), Chassey Bennett (Ensemble), Ernie Figueroa (Benjamin/Ensemble), April Henry(Ensemble), Max Herzfeld (Issachar/Ensemble), Nic Hodges (Naphtali/Ensemble), Joe Komara (Zebulon/Ensemble), Chloe Leatherwood (Ensemble), Katie Mcconaughy (Ensemble), Tina Nguyen (Ensemble), Kelly Powers (Ensemble), Dayna Sauble (Ensemble) and Nick Waaland (Asher/Ensemble).

This high-spirited musical, according to press notes, “rocks the stage with the classic Biblical saga of love and redemption in ancient times, as favored son Joseph with his coat of many colors becomes exiled by his jealous brothers, only to find his true calling in the strange new land of Egypt while coming to grips with the power of lies and injustice.”

The creative team also includes assistant director Ryan Ruge, musical contractor Los Angeles Musicians Collective, production manager Terry Hanrahan, associate choreographer Anna White, production stage manager Donna R. Parsons, set designer Stephen Gifford, lighting designer Jean-Yves Tessier, sound designer Julie Ferrin, technical director Jack Meyer, costume coordinator Alexandra Johnson, wig designer Peter Herman and company manager and assistant stage manager David Jordan Nestor.
