Treason the Musical in Concert plays the Theatre Royal Drury Lane August 22–23. The performances follow recent concert versions of Chess and Kinky Boots at the famed London venue.
The cast is led by Carrie Hope Fletcher as Martha Percy, Bradley Jaden as Thomas Percy, Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Robert Catesby, Les Dennis as Robert Cecil, Emilie Louise Israel as Eleanor Brooksby, Rebecca Lachance as Anne Vaux, Daniel Boys as King James, Cedric Neal as Earl of Northumberland, Waylon Jacobs as Jack Wright, and Adam Pearce as Thomas Wintour. Poet and activist Debris Stevenson, who provides narrative material for the concert, is also the narrator.
The artists are backed by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.
Treason, the new musical about the gunpowder plot, features music by Ricky Allan and a book and lyrics by Allan and Kieran Lynn.
