Prince will begin performances July 19, succeeding Emmy Award-winning "Glee" star Jane Lynch, who will play her final performance July 14.

"I had the wonderful experience of working with Faith Prince on Falsettoland and I am thrilled that she will be joining the Annie company as Hannigan, a role she was born to play," said director James Lapine in a statement.

Prince won the Tony Award in 1992 for her performance in Guys and Dolls. She has also been nominated for her performances in Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Bells are Ringing and A Catered Affair. Her other Broadway credits include Nick & Nora, What's Wrong With This Picture?, The King and I, Little Me, James Joyce's The Dead and The Little Mermaid, among others.

Annie currently stars Lynch as Miss Hannigan, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks and Lilla Crawford as Annie with Brynn O'Malley as Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan, and J. Elaine Marcos as Lily St. Regis. The Orphans are Madi Rae DiPietro as July, Georgi James as Pepper, Junah Jang as Tessie, Tyrah Skye Odoms as Kate, Taylor Richardson as Duffy, Emily Rosenfeld as Molly, Brooklyn Shuck, Sadie Sink and Jaidyn Young.

The production also features Ashley Blanchet, Jane Blass, Mary Callanan, Jeremy Davis, Fred Inkley, Merwin Foard, Joel Hatch, Danette Holden, Amanda Lea LaVergne, Desi Oakley, Keven Quillon, David Rossetti, Sarah Solie, Dennis Stowe, Ryan VanDenBoom and Matt Wall. The revival of Annie, directed by Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler, opened on Broadway Nov. 8, 2012, at the Palace Theatre.

Annie features a Tony Award-winning book by Thomas Meehan. The original production earned seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Score for its 1977 debut starring Andrea McArdle in the title role. The production ran for 2,377 performances and has enjoyed numerous national tours and a 1997 Broadway revival, which went unrecorded.
