New York actor, writer and columnist Ben Rimalower, who writes for Playbill.com, amongst other things, brings his two acclaimed solo shows, Bad with Money and Patti Issues, to London's St. James Studio for two performances March 11-12.

The plays, presented in a double bill on both nights, are written and performed by Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark.

Bad with Money chronicles how addiction to spending beyond his personal means has driven Rimalower to extreme lengths all his life, while Patti Issues deals with his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. LuPone has herself said of it, "The show’s fantastic. It's really wonderful. I was moved."

Rimalower's other credits include directing and producing the plays Joy (at the Actors' Playhouse) and The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero (at the Daryl Roth/DR2 Theatre). He has also directed a slew of solo cabaret shows, most notably conceiving and directing Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches.

Mark is a New York-based director and playwright. His writer/director credits include Empanada Loca with Daphne Rubin-Vega (Labyrinth Theater Company), Another Medea with Tom Hewitt (AFO at Cherry Lane and Wild Project) and the upcoming Squeamish with Alison Fraser.
