The selected scripts will be presented live onstage in New York as well as compete for festival awards and for the chance to receive further development. Submissions can be made by visiting tnny.org/soundbites. The organization is also seeking writers, dramaturgs, composers, lyricists, actors, directors, producers, and theatre professionals to serve on the 2015-2016 Selection Committee. Theatre Now New York artistic director, Thomas Morrissey, has helped develop and produce new plays and musicals including Kingdom, the world premiere of The Last Sunday in June, and the East Coast Premiere of The Break-up Notebook. Stephen Bishop Seely, literary manager of Theatre Now New York and Producer of the festival, has helped develop several Off-Broadway and Broadway shows including Disney’s Tarzan.
