A Christmas Story Live!, inspired by the classic holiday film and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical, A Christmas Story, The Musical, aired December 17 on Fox.

The story follows the mischievous Ralphie, a bespectacled boy who dreams of getting a BB-gun for Christmas, in the adventure-filled weeks before Christmas. The original Broadway production of A Christmas Story, The Musical opened November 19, 2012 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre starring Johnny Rabe in the central role of Ralphie, as well as Dan Lauria, John Bolton, and Erin Dilly.
