A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, which opened at the Broadhurst Theatre December 4, 2022, celebrated one year on Broadway this week. Instead of receiving a gift though, they gave one. In keeping with the traditional gift of paper for the first anniversary, the production gave scratch-off lottery tickets to every audience member.
Nick Fradiani, who stars as Neil Diamond - Then in the biomusical, joked with the audience that any lucky winners would be obligated to take him on vacation. See photos of Fradiani with some of the audience members in the gallery below.
A Beautiful Noisetakes a look at the life of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, then and now, accompanied by hits from his decades-long career in popular music. All songs are written or co-written by Neil Diamond. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs.
The piece stars Obie Award winner Jodie Markell as propagandist filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl, whose work in service of the Nazis defined the visual identity of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich.
The Broadway alum's golden vocals brought Old Deuteronomy from Cats and the Lion from The Wiz to life, along with Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
